Kevin grew up in a small town in Illinois. He has since lived in just about every state in the Midwest, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. Above all, he values hard work and honesty.
Kevin attended Ohio University, where he studied Sociology / Criminology and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. At college, he completed an internship at the Athens County Juvenile court and was active in the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity. Thereafter, he attended Oklahoma City University, where he studied law and earned his Juris Doctor degree. During law school, Kevin completed an internship at Oklahoma Legal Aid, was active in the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity, and was a class officer (Vice President) in the student government program.
Kevin was licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin in 1997, where he engaged in the general practice of law. He handled a diverse variety of legal matters including criminal defense, municipal prosecution, civil litigation, bankruptcy, domestic relations, and other matters.
Upon relocating to Nevada, Kevin was selected to serve as the Law Clerk to the Hon. Diane Steel, at the Eighth Judicial District Court. His clerkship lasted two years. Kevin was licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada in 2000.
Since leaving the Court, Kevin has practiced in the areas of civil litigation, domestic relations, criminal defense, and other areas. For the better part of the past ten years, Kevin was a partner in a large insurance defense firm, where he devoted a substantial portion of his practice to defending individuals involved in complex tort litigation, such as motor vehicle, negligent security and premises liability claims.
Kevin holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbel. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar (inactive), the State Bar of Nevada, and the Clark County Bar Association. Kevin is also a member of the Nevada Justice Association. He is certified as an Arbitrator by the Eighth Judicial District Court and is a Mentor in the State Bar of Nevada’s Transition Into Practice (“TIP”) program, which is designed to mentor newly licensed attorneys who are just beginning their careers. Kevin is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Nevada.
