Woman Dies in Las Vegas Auto Accident
A woman was killed in a Las Vegas, Nevada auto accident Nov. 9. Rosalyn Gilson, 62, died immediately following a motor vehicle accident caused by a drunk driver.
Patricia Solis, 44, a Las Vegas resident, was arrested for felony DUI charges and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center immediately after the accident occurred.
According to reports, Solis may have been driving under the influence of drugs as well. Police say they are still investigating the cause of the accident.
Fatal Auto Accident Caused by Drunk Driving
According to witnesses, the accident was caused when Solis, who was traveling west on Desert Inn Road, veered into oncoming traffic and collided with Gilson’s Plymouth Neon. The accident caused Gilson to spin out of control and smash into another vehicle.
The third driver involved in the crash, Ying Lu, 38, was taken to a University Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries. According to police, the auto accident was the 101st traffic fatality in their jurisdiction this year.
