$115,000 Settlement

Client was injured in a t-bone motor vehicle collision as the result of the adverse driver failing to yield.  As a result of the collision, client sustained neck, back and head injuries and underwent physical therapy, diagnostic testing, and injection therapy. It was also medically determined that Client would need future treatment in the form of additional injection therapy.

Prior to a lawsuit being filed, the claim was settled against the adverse driver for the policy limits after which an underinsured motorist claim was presented and successfully resolved for total settlement of $115,000.

$160,000 Settlement 

Client was injured in a trip-and-fall incident at a local casino. Client sustained serious aggravations of preexisting symptomatic and asymptomatic conditions, as well as some wholly new conditions.

Liability was denied and the insurance companies disputed causation and damages.  A lawsuit was filed, and, subsequent to extensive discovery, the case was successfully resolved for $160,000.

$140,000 Settlement

Client was injured as a result of an exploding pool filter. As a result, client suffered several lacerations, sustained a distal radius fracture, and trauma to his right hand, and required hospitalization for 3 days. Client was treated with conservative measures including closed reduction and casting of the right upper extremity. Following removal of the cast, client underwent occupational therapy for 2-3 months.

The case was successfully resolved in litigation for $140,000.

Client was injured in a motor vehicle accident when an adverse driver negligently rear-ended his vehicle. Client sustained injuries to his neck, back, shoulder and knee.

Client was injured in a motor vehicle accident. As a result of the accident, client was transported from the scene of the accident by ambulance and taken to UMC. Client sustained injuries to his neck and back, including, but not limited to, a lumbar compression fracture. Client was operating her motorized wheelchair, in a marked crosswalk, with the walk sign illuminated, when a semi-truck, attempting to turn right collided with Client. Client was dragged over 68 feet, causing substantial injuries, including, but not limited to, second and third-degree burns over 15% of her entire body including Client’s chest, hands, face, and neck. She endured debridement and skin graft placement. Client was transferred from UMC Trauma to Kindred Hospital for further care. Plaintiff also suffered a distal tibial fracture and scapular fracture.

Although liability was initially denied, requiring the filing of a lawsuit, the case was successfully resolved for the adverse company’s policy limits of $1,000,000.

$500,000 Settlement

Client was injured in a rear-end motor vehicle accident. Client sustained injuries to her neck and back and underwent physical therapy, diagnostic testing, and injection therapy. It was also medically determined that Client would need future treatment in the form of additional injection therapy.

Although liability was accepted, the adverse driver’s insurance company disputed causation and damages, arguing that the vehicle impact and resulting damage to the respective vehicles were both minor in nature. A lawsuit was filed, and subsequent to extensive discovery, the case was successfully resolved for the policy limits of $500,000.

Client was injured in a motor vehicle accident wherein the vehicle in which client was a passenger collided with the rear of the vehicle in front of it. The impact was so great that the airbags deployed, the windshield shattered, the grill broke and the bumper split in half and partially detached. Client was air-lifted to the hospital and treated for his injuries. Client made an amazing recovery and the claim was able to be resolved for the
policy limits of $250,000 without filing a lawsuit.

Client was injured in a t-bone type motor vehicle accident which occurred in a parking lot. As a result of the accident, Client was transported via
ambulance to St. Rose Dominican Hospital with complaints of pain in her neck, back and head and underwent physical therapy, diagnostic testing,
injection therapy and radiofrequency rhizotomy ablations. Prior to a lawsuit being filed, the claim was settled against the adverse driver for the policy limits after which an underinsured motorist claim was presented and successfully resolved for total settlement of $265,000.

$235,000 Settlement

Client was injured as the result of being stabbed in the abdomen.  The claim arose as a result of a business entity’s failure to adequately, and properly, care for, supervise, protect, maintain, guard, and/or otherwise keep a safe and secure property. As a result of the accident, client was hospitalized for seven (7) days and made two (2) follow-up appointments regarding his wounds.  Upon discharge, client requested a psychiatry referral for nightmares from the incident and increased anxiety. Although liability was initially denied, and the claim was contentiously litigated, it was successfully resolved for $235,000 during the litigation process.

Clients were injured in a motorcycle accident when an adverse driver negligently turned left in front of clients’ motorcycle.  Clients were both transported by ambulance from the scene of the accident to University Medical Center Trauma unit with significant complaints of neck, shoulder, back and knee pain, as well as concussion syndrome.

As a result of the accident, Clients endured months of physical therapy, pain management injections and a surgery to remove a recurring hematoma. The case was successfully resolved in litigation for an aggregate amount of $475,000.
